Research
Research The company engages in practical and theoretical research. This research draws on training with international groups as well as original work developed within the company. It builds on the foundation of The Production of Luck: learning to act in the discipline of Theatre Anthropology which Alice submitted as her PhD thesis in the Department of Art History and Film at the University of Sydney in 2020. Practical research informs the development of its training and can include solo and group concepts of training, which are offered in skills development and community workshops, and shape the development of performances. It is documented in written publications, reflecting on the relationship between theatre and everyday life. Publications contribute to the fields of theatre, performance and cultural theory. Current research projects include publication of The Mouth of the Wolf based on the development of the performance The Tale of the Wolf as well as A Triangular Dialogue: conversations with Laleen Jayamanne and Eugenio Barba.
