Potluck
Potluck is a peer exchange and skills development workshops. Potluck workshops invite peers to share a taste of their performance practice, offering compositional tools and developing networks. Potluck workshops have developed the Institute of Luck’s community of collaborators. Initial potluck workshops began in 2021 as a forum for experimentation, peer to peer learning and collaborative exchange. After eight weeks of peer exchange, and with the support of Inner West Council, Potluck workshops were offered as skills development workshops for emerging artists from Spark Youth Theatre, UNSW, Powerhouse Youth Theatre and Shopfront. They have been instrumental in forming collaborations for the development of Institute of Luck’s projects, including with potluck participant and Drama Therapist Ioulia Stepanova, who developed initial dramaturgical research for Green Machine, as well as between mid-career and emerging artist collaborators who continued to work together on Green Machine’s stage one development supported by Inner West Council’s Edge Spaces program 2022.
